You Have Permission to Take Up Space

You are not too much.
You are not a burden.
You are not only allowed to exist—you are allowed to take up space.

Take up space in the room.
Take up space at the table.
Take up space in your body.
Take up space in your voice, your feelings, your hunger, your healing.

You don’t need to shrink to be lovable.
You don’t need to be quiet to be safe.
You don’t need to disappear to be accepted.

You are allowed to be fully here.

In eating disorder recovery, taking up space can feel terrifying. You’ve been told, directly or indirectly, that your needs were “too much,” your body was “wrong,” your emotions “inconvenient.” But that was never the truth.

The truth is:
Healing requires space.
Reclaiming your body requires space.
Living requires space.

And you don’t have to ask for permission anymore. You already have it.
